Refund Policy

1. truloop's Role in Refunds
truloop is a platform that connects Guests with Hosts who organize their own events. truloop is not the merchant of record for ticket sales, does not issue refunds, does not hold ticket revenue, and is not a party to refund disputes between Hosts and Guests.
Tickets sold for Host-organized events through truloop are payments made directly to the Host through Stripe (Stripe Connect Standard, Direct Charges). truloop does not handle the ticket funds and does not control the timing, method, or amount of any refund.
This Policy applies only to tickets purchased for Host-organized events. It does not apply to subscriptions, paid features, or app store purchases sold directly by truloop, which are governed by the Terms of Use and, where applicable, the applicable app store's terms and refund policies.
2. The Host Sets the Refund Policy
Each event's refund policy is set by the Host and clearly displayed before purchase. truloop does not set a default refund schedule. By completing your purchase, you agree to the refund policy displayed for that event.
Each Host sets the refund policy for the events they organize. The refund policy for an event is displayed on the event page before checkout. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the refund policy displayed for that event.
truloop requires Hosts to display a clear refund policy for every event they sell tickets to. truloop does not approve, guarantee, or enforce the substance of any Host's refund policy.
If you have questions about a Host's refund policy, contact the Host directly through truloop messaging before purchasing.
3. Event Cancellation or Material Change by Host
If the Host cancels the event, the Host is responsible for issuing refunds through Stripe. truloop will automatically refund any Platform Service Fee it collected for the canceled event.
If a Host cancels an event, the Host is responsible for issuing refunds to ticket holders through Stripe. truloop will automatically refund any Platform Service Fee it collected for the canceled event. Refunds typically appear on the Guest's statement within 5 to 10 business days after the Host initiates them.
A material change may include a significant change to the event date, start time, location, featured host, principal performer or speaker, age restriction, or other key terms displayed at the time of purchase. Refund requests for material changes are handled by the Host according to the Host's refund policy and applicable law.
4. Force Majeure
If an event cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond the Host's reasonable control (natural disaster, government order, pandemic), the Host's refund, credit, or rescheduling decision must be reasonable, communicated in good faith, and consistent with the policy displayed at purchase and applicable law.
If an event cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond the Host's reasonable control (e.g., natural disaster, government order, pandemic), the Host may offer rescheduled dates, partial refunds, or credit toward future events.
In force majeure situations, the Host's decision must be reasonable, communicated to Guests in good faith, and consistent with the refund policy displayed at the time of purchase and with applicable law.
truloop is not a party to such decisions and is not responsible for the outcome.
5. How to Request a Refund
Refund requests are handled by the Host, not by truloop. Contact the Host directly through truloop messaging.
To request a refund:
- Contact the Host directly through truloop messaging within the window stated in the Host's refund policy.
- Allow up to 48 hours for the Host's response.
- If you are unable to reach the Host after a reasonable attempt, you may notify truloop support.
Any assistance by truloop is limited to facilitating communication between the Guest and the Host. truloop does not determine refund eligibility, compel a Host to issue a refund, or guarantee the outcome of any refund request or payment dispute.
6. Non-Refundable Items
Platform Service Fees, Stripe processing fees, tickets to past events, and complimentary or promotional tickets are non-refundable, except where this Policy says otherwise (for example, when the Host cancels the event).
Except as expressly stated in this Policy, Platform Service Fees, Stripe processing fees, tickets to past events, and complimentary or promotional tickets are non-refundable.
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
Your card-issuer chargeback rights under applicable law are preserved. Only fraudulent, abusive, or bad-faith chargebacks may lead to account review. truloop may share with the Host the information reasonably needed to respond to a dispute.
If a Guest initiates a chargeback through their card issuer, Stripe will notify the Host. The Host may respond and provide evidence to contest the dispute. The card issuer's decision is final.
Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have under applicable law or card network rules. However, repeated fraudulent, abusive, or bad-faith chargebacks may result in account review or suspension under our Terms of Use.
truloop may, to the extent permitted by applicable law and our Privacy Policy, provide the Host with transaction, ticket, attendance, or policy-acceptance information reasonably necessary to respond to a refund request, chargeback, or dispute.
